Who is afraid of the 'king?'
This creature proclaimed himself a king sans a crown at the height of his arrogance to terrorize anyone crossing his path that could hamper his entry into his fiefdom.
Never make a mistake of crossing the line with the "king" or else... you'll end up with a miserable life -- an act he has been notoriously known for doing so.
I have known little about this creature. He is known to be extremely difficult to deal with, though generous to people whom he wanted to remain parasites all their lives. He wanted them dependent from him. He feeds them regularly on weekends good enough to survive for a day.
According to a source, he sees to it all those whom he fed should be willing to serve him back in return by doing their task as bootlickers.
True to their callings they satisfied the "king" by feeding him garbage and garbage of raw information good enough to fill up the Calajunan dumpsite in Mandurriao, Iloilo City .
The "king" accepts with pleasure the garbage for his own personal satisfaction. It also serves as an elixir for his political and tyrannical longevity despite his present health condition -- likened to be that of a dead man walking in the street.
When will he ever learn we mortals pass through this valley of life only once before reaching the final path of no-return?
The "king" has no qualms of doing his worst while there is still enough time to make amend and seek forgiveness from those he had sinned.
What he did to Gov. Niel D. Tupas, his family and to the Ilonggo race is a shameless act he ought to pay a price.
The more he insists his innocence in the recent January 17, 2007 capitol siege, the deeper he is overwhelmed by a quicksand of lies.
Pontius Pilate pales in comparison with this "king" as far as denial is concerned. At least Pilate has still the decency of doubt before surrendering the Son of Man into the hands of the sinners demanding for his blood.
What about you "king?"
Ruthless and remorseful that's what you are.
I could still remember vividly back in the mid-90's, I was one of your victims while doing my journalistic task in the city.
You mistook me then as the famous Lolo Beloy, the blind writer in an opinion page of Sun Star Iloilo. It was a harmless one liner blind item asking a certain Pomada King of his scandalous manner of disposing his Country Development Fund (CDF) in guise of repairing an asphalt road which appeared substandard.
It was a big news article then exclusively exposed by Sun.Star Iloilo under my byline with a blazing headline: "Solon storms Sun.Star office."
As a result, Pomada King initially threatened to sue me for libel. I fought back by daring him to undergo lie detector test to be covered live by all local, national, and foreign media entities.
Pomada King even used his congressional immunity by attacking my person accusing me a blackmailer and an extortionist.
The more I was determined to stand my ground when I spotted his weakness; his tendency to fabricate things.
Realizing his stupidity perhaps his act won't hold water, he decided to change his complaint to ‘unjust vexation: intriguing against honor."
For more than four years the Regional Trial Court (RTC) failed to resolve the complaint until then Fiscal Roberto Liberriaga volunteered to mediate between me and Pomada King for a reconciliation on which I immediately welcomed with open arms.
To make the story short, Pomada King and I had resolved the issue in a peaceful manner with the condition I should write an article rectifying him which I did with a heavy heart.
That "reconciliation" however, has not changed my notion of who Pomada King is and what "bits and pieces" he is made of.
I may trust a biological liar out of a wandering "ati" or a nomadic "badjao" staying and scattering within the Iloilo metropolis but never Pomada King.
You may wonder who Pomada King is.
Well, he is the alter-ego of the "king."
Is anyone afraid of him? Not me!
Mapatay ka man guihapon!
