Who is Boy M?
There are some lost souls making their own interpretation of the recent Capitol siege to suit their own motives and convenience. This is the beauty and the essence of democracy.
No matter how distorted their writings on the wall may appear, they are entitled to their own opinion. Still, they deserve to be respected for what they believe and stand for though it may be far from the facts.
As what the famous philosopher Voltaire said: "I may disagree with what you said, but I'll defend to death your right to say it."
Take the case of a certain writer, in his attempt to make a jurist out of himself he accused Gov. Niel D. Tupas (take note of the right spelling please--not Neil) a thief. His only proof was a fabricated volume of documents dubbed "Turil ni Niel" courtesy of a man who found sanctuary in Iloilo after he was badly beaten several times in an electoral process right in his own turf which is Makati.
He took everything a gospel of truth, every single word of shit coming out from the mouth of then 2nd District Congressman Augusto "Boboy" Syjuco who himself made an expose' of lies against Gov. Tupas. Unfortunately, up to this moment Syjuco has never proven a single thing that could send Tupas to calaboose.
The writer, like his source has a fancy for wild imaginings. He even has the gall of saying Tupas had enriched himself upon assumption into office. His only proof, a house and lot recently bought at Hechanova Subdivision. Boy, you don't know what you are talking about.
In their desire to destroy the credibility of Gov. Tupas, they first attack the person of Manuel "Boy" Mejorada. It was their belief that the latter serves as a shield keeping Tupas solidly standing on the ground.
This bunch of jesters would throw mud at Boy Mejo anticipating he would quiver in fear and retreat a thousand miles before disappearing into limbo.
To their disappointment they met their own Nemesis out of Boy Mejo. They resorted to all forms of black propaganda to annihilate Boy M but failed to inflict a bite, even once.
Boy M has nothing to prove his loyalty to the old man in the Capitol. I can sense he would sacrifice his own life to save his benefactor. This has nothing to do with his political agenda but I think more of the fatherly treatment he got from the governor; a kind of relationship that goes beyond professionalism. There is respect. There is trust. There is bonding.
Boy M can be considered a terror to his enemies, especially the likes of Prozac Boboy and King Raul, the heavyweights -- the rest are no longer worth mentioning for they are nothing but a peck in the eye.
Boy M is the extension of the man he serves in the Capitol. He is on call 24 hours a day.
Where there is fire he acts as the fireman. Where there is disinformation he serves as the messenger of truth. Where there is Capitol assault, you see him as the soldier last standing.
People long identified with the good governor at the start of his assumption hated him so much as he found him having an eagle's eye scrutinizing their every move of deception.
The governor used his solomonic wisdom when favoring Boy M as the official Provincial Administrator against all odds defying in the process his circle of friends good for nothing.
Of late, another black propaganda emanating from the opposite camp spread poison text messages that the governor suffered from stroke and was rushed to an unknown hospital in Metro Manila.
This is a desperate act committed by someone obsessed to grab the crown from a legitimate leader of the province. He has to resort to this kind of maneuvering as his political heyday is slowly deteriorating. To borrow the famous line of the late Manila Mayor Arsenio Lacson in describing the present political condition: "so young, yet so corrupt", a line exactly appropriate to this power grabber.
Again Boy M is around to clear the polluted information drive by the devil in disguise.
That is Boy M for Boy Mejo or Manuel Pichay "Boy" Mejorada.
