Bacolod sets 2007 Panaad sa Negros Festival
Bacolod City -- It's all systems go for the 2007 Panaad sa Negros Festival slated on April 14 to 21, at the Panaad Stadium and Park, Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
The annual celebration of the Panaad sa Negros Festival will capture the essence of the province of Negros Occidental. Dubbed as the "festival of festivals", Panaad sa Negros is a colorful and jubilant festivals of the 13 cities including Bacolod, its capital and 19 towns of the province.
Balikbayans and Negrenses will have more time to get a glimpse of the best offerings of the towns and cities and enjoy food like chicken inasal and seafood that Negros is known for.
A thanksgiving mass will be held on the first day of the festival, followed by a motorcade.
The opening ceremonies will include raising of banners, presentation of "Best of Festivals Dances" and fireworks display to cap the opening ceremonies.
Among the Negros festivals are Bacolod' famous MassKara, La Carlota City's rhythmic Pasalamat, San Carlos City's multi-awarded Pintaflores, Kabankalan City's Sinulog, Bago City's Babaylan, Escalante Manlambus, Sagay City's Sinigayan, Mambukal's Mudpack. San Enrigue's Bulang-Bulang, la Catellana's Bailes de Luces and Himamaylan City's Himayaan, among others.
