Christian's Ace School captures 16 medals in reg'l student convention
The marvelous kids of Christian's Ace School won accolades and honors at the Regional Student Convention of the Schools of Tomorrow held last February 12 to 14, 2007 at the Destiny Christian Academy in Bacolod City.
Fourteen schools participated and about 200 students attended. The delegates came from Iloilo City, Pototan, Oton, Bacolod and Negros Oriental.
The categories of the contest were musical, platform, academic, artworks and sports events.
The event started with a special number on violin and the recorder. This musical talent was used as an illustration of God's gifts during the message of Pastor Erik Santos.
The musical events coach was Doodz Anat, a graduate of the San Agustin College of Music and with masters from the University of the Philippines in Dilliman. The platform event was coached by Alexander Romero of Han Seo Pharma, Rose and Dr. Annabelle de Guzman. The parents and guardians also helped in the training. The school's morale was also boosted by the presence of these parents and guardians.
The children are looking forward to another competition next year, hoping to win more medals for the Lord's glory.
Christian's Ace School is located at Ledesco Village, La Paz, Iloilo City. It is now accredited by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the School of Tomorrow (SOT). Last August 28, 2006, the DepEd visited the school and Mary Cabag, head of the accredited team for the elementary and pre-school levels, said she was pleased with the facilities. She also commended the curriculum because the school included traditional subjects like Makabayan, phonetics and HELI. She also lauded the school's individualized instruction.
Mary May Catoera, a BSE graduate, major in Pre-School Education from the Central Philippine University is their newest teacher. She's also a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Religious Education from CPU.
The Christian's Ace School has complied with DepEd regulations in hiring teachers who are fully qualified as the school has to maintain its standards in order to keep its accreditation.
