Tranquil living at the Palisades Iloilo
Teddy Magalona explains why
The Palisades Iloilo is an
heirloom.
The Palisades is an innovation in residential development through its landscaping features. The entire development is landscaped which includes not just its entrance, the rotundas, clubhouse areas but also the sidewalks, street corners, lamp posts and power posts. Different tropical plants, trees and shrubs are utilized to give the place a distinct look and ambiance, not only during the day but also at night because of the play between the lightings and the plants.
The Palisades in Bacolod
The landscaping design and architectural plan both the "soft" and the "hard" of it, are executed by Architect Ildefonso P. Santos, the father of Philippine Landscape Architecture.

promises a better version for
The Palisades Iloilo.
The unique design of the residential enclave is inspired through a Southern Californian theme with a touch of Mexican Architecture. The one-of-a-kind ambiance is one of the attractions of lushness and tropical plants. The main road also has a water feature, which will create the feeling of a garden. All streets are lined with flowering trees. There's a different tree for every street to give it a sense of direction and color. During night time, you will experience the peace and tranquility through the beauty of the impressive lighting effects that surround the area.
Overview of the swimming pool
This subdivision is a project of St. Rafael Development Corporation (SRDC). "We are the biggest housing company in Region 6," according to Teddy Magalona, marketing consultant.
The open space of the development is generous at no less than 40 percent to allow the atmosphere of space and openness. The abundance of flowering plants and trees make the place a natural haven for bids, butterflies and other colorful species. It ensures that the situation of real "nature" is created and sustained in the community. The project is relatively small in size that it creates 'enclave" living where people will live knowing each other yet retaining their respective privacies. There will only be 80 houses here.
The development also introduces the lightings that at night the place is akin to a garden. This is primarily developed for people that would prefer a peaceful and quiet place. The place has a jogging path that is fully landscaped, carpeted with grass and sheltered by acacia trees, to allow a leisurely exercise, with provisions for resting stations for the elderly and for those who prefer slower exercise. The clubhouse completes this with a lapping swimming pool.
SRDC believes that in order to enhance and improve the way of life of a person, or a family, they must be provided a better environment, a better place to live, and a better community conducive to right living, right relationship with others, and right attitude towards life.
Inspired by its vision, "Building communities, transforming lives for the greater glory of God," every residential project that the company ventures into and develops is properly planned with care and foresight from the selection of site, target market's desired product and its attributes, support and enhancing facilities, homeowners association formation and management, subdivision maintenance and operation, asset management and value appreciation, and its long-term impact on the residents and the locality where the residential project rises.
SRDC is located at the Ground Floor of Insular Life Building, Gen. Luna Street. One may call them at (033) 3351449 to 52.
