My father and I
Father's Day is fast approaching. Have you already packed a gift for your father? Anyway, I just want to remind you to remember and greet your father when the day arrives. I also want to thank my father for everything that he does for me my entire life. He is really a big part of my life. I'm thankful that he's my side everyday of my life. Here are few people who wish to express some things about their father:
Name: Carmela Opano
Age: 20
School: Riverside, Bacolod
The best thing about my father is that he is really responsible and reliable about everything that he does. Everyday, he wakes up early to manage four business firms. The unconditional love towards us becomes an inspiration for us that we should never tire. The 100% support that he gives us is already too much that it inspires us to tackle the world and not have fears in our heart. If we need him, he is always there to listen. Through the years he never stopped loving us and he knows that our love is also unconditional for him.

Among others, what stands out is my dad's resourcefulness. An independent worker and all-around handyman, he quietly thinks and analyzes his way through every situation with matching cool and calmness and arrives at the solution quiet expediently. That's a feat I will always hold in admiration.

I remember when I was a little girl, my papa and I are buddies. He used to bring me along wherever he meets with his friends or clients. All I just did was to sit on the car with my "miming" a.k.a. favorite pillow and milk. Being practical is a characteristic I love about my dad. Every time we discuss something inside the house, he always suggests the most practical one that we can save time, money and effort. I love papa, but now he is not perfect. We should be thankful to God that we have our papas with us and we should love them the way God love us.

Lax and firm. Two adjectives with different meanings. These are the qualities my father possesses. Lax yet firm. Yes, you heard me right! They maybe antonyms but these are the qualities I like about my father. Being lax yet he knows when to be firm.
Being the only girl and the youngest in the family, I grew up as the apple of the eye of my dad. A little "lambing" and I get what I want. He always goes easy on things. He seldom gets mad. Though he is being carefree most of the time, he knows when to be firm. He knows the borderline of being lax from being irresponsible. That is why I didn't grow up a spoiled brat.

One thing that I love about my father is his being hard working and patient. Even though we are sometimes down, he would always find a way to bring us up. Every day, he's the one who wakes up early and manages our business. At night, he is the last person to sleep.
I know that sometimes we are so naughty but he manages to control his temper and in a calm and firm way, he would discipline us. He is really a perfect guy. S omeday I hope my prince charming will be like him. Oh my God! I am going to be a princess! Papa, I just want to greet you Happy Father's Day. Mwah!

My dad is unique amongst the rest. He has this quality, which is rare to find nowadays. He has a kind heart for charity. He is currently involved in a fire fighting team or something. I forgot the complete name of the organization. But anyway, he is brave enough to tackle the fire without fear just so he could serve people. If he runs for government office, I am sure that he will win.
It is unusual to find a father who has this distinct quality who can manage his time with his family, business and passion. I really wish someday that I will be like him. He is my idol.
