DTI cites 4 Capiceño bizmen
Roxas City -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Office has awarded four Capiz's most inspiring businessmen for their outstanding achievements in the field of entrepreneurship.
The awardees are Agnes Barbasa Andrada of Pizza Junction and Both Ends business enterprise, Edgar Jaruda Sia II of Mang Inasal Restaurants, Jose Nery Ong of Twin Hearts Realty Development Corporation, and Nesta's Incorportated which has achieved phenomenal success in its business endeavor over the last 26 years.
"We would like to inspire other businessmen," said DTI - Capiz Provincial Director Rebecca Rascon during the opening ceremonies of the Small Enterprises Development (SED) Week about the objectives of the award.
"The awardees will be speakers during campus tours," added Rascon.
The schools to be visited include Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion (CPC), Filamer Christian College (FCC), Hercor College, St. John College, and Capiz State University (CapSu) campuses.
Roxas City Mayor Vicente Bermejo noted that the small enterprises are a vehicle for moving the country's economy forward.
For his part, DTI Regional Director Dominic Abad expressed confidence in a message read for him by Rascon that Capiceños will promote priority enterprises in the province as he recalled that Capiz has consistently mounted an exhibit during SED celebration.
The week-long celebration is highlighted by the "Garden and Pet Show" at the city's public plaza.
