PNP chief lauds PRO 6 for top performance
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar C. Calderon congratulated Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 regional director Chief Supt. Wilfredo V. Dulay and his men for being the top performing police unit in the country. He mentioned of the positive feedback he received from Iloilo Governor Niel Tupas in their meeting at the new Iloilo airport before he proceeded to Camp Delgado the other day.
The PNP chief was here for the inauguration of the new PRO 6 Fitness Gym and Sauna and to hold meetings with the Board of Directors of Public Safety Savings and Loans Association Inc. (PSSLAI). This first Board Meeting of PSSLAI Directors outside Manila is a tribute to its top grossing Branch here.
In an arrival honor, Calderon also distributed four patrol cars for Estancia, Concepcion, Badiangan and Lambunao Municipal Police Stations. He said the patrol cars will greatly help contribute in the campaign for a more stable peace and order situation in the said towns.
"Use these patrol cars to enhance police visibility and checkpoints," Calderon said after the symbolic turn over of the key to the mayors of the said towns.
Mayor Restituto Mosqueda of Estancia, who acknowledged the patrol cars, assured Calderon that the same shall be used for anti-criminality campaigns. He likewise presented the need for additional personnel and patrol cars in other towns in the northern Iloilo. Mosqueda is a retired police general.
Calderon promised to support the capability of police units in Western Visayas for he is happy for the notable development of peace and order here.
He also ushered the men and women of PRO 6 to do their job satisfactorily. "Good performance gains the police good public perception," Calderon stressed.
