Fr. Romulo Pana and the Batch'82: Helping, Serving For The Glory of God

August 14, 2007 is a special day for the people of Lawigan, San Joaquin, Iloilo. 71 kilometers south of Iloilo City, Lawigan is home to the Our Lady of Salvation Parish.
It was to be a day of thanksgiving and gratitude for the blessing and the gift of the Lawigan locals in Reverend Father Romulo Pana. A day of celebration in the 25th anniversary of his ordination and the Batch '82 to the priesthood.
As such, thousands of the barangay's parishioners came in their Sunday's best in that sunny Tuesday morning, most eager to be part of the barangay's biggest event.
Schoolchildren and youngsters, the men and the women, the young and the elderly. They all came for Fr. Pana.
His Eminence Jaro Archbishop Angel Lagdameo came as well to share the glory and pride of Lawigan, the glory and pride of the Archdiocese.
And it was not to be missed by some fifty other priests who took part in the Eucharistic celebration and testimonial banquet including longtime friend, Reverend Father Renato Cuadras.
Guests from various Iloilo Towns, and provinces of Guimaras and Antique likewise came, all sharing the pride and joy of the people and parishioners of Lawigan.
The gift of priesthood in Fr. Romulo Pana. And the Batch '82 of the Archdiocese of Jaro. Helping. Serving. For the glory of God.
Fr. Pana's ordination will be featured in TATAK Ilonggo, airing 4pm, Saturday, Channel 13, Sky Cable and 5pm, Sunday, same channel, same station.
