Negros Occidental LGUs get six firetrucks
Bacolod City -- Negros Occidental Governor Joseph G. Marañon together with local chief executives from the six towns and cities of the province received fire trucks courtesy of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Fire Prevention Volunteers Association, a social service group of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCI), in a simple ceremony in front of the Provincial Capitol recently.
The fire trucks were released to the towns of La Castellana through Mayor Alberto Nicor, Jr. and Calatrava through Mayor Alfonso Baguio Jr. and the cities of Sipalay through Vice Mayor Oscar Montilla, Jr., Escalante through Mayor Melecio Yap, Jr. and Cadiz City.
The donation was made through the efforts of FFCCCI officers Carlos Javellana-director of FFCCCI, Adolfo Lim and Hung Wei Yuan-president and vice president of Southern Negros Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. and Reynaldo Espina and Luis Chan-president and executive vice president of the Northern Negros FFCCCI respectively.
