Contrary to unfavorable reports on the results of the Annual General Inspection, Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 received relatively a very satisfactory evaluation from the Inspection Team of Internal Affairs Service from Camp Crame.
This, Police Director Irving M. Malunda, the Vice Chairman of Annual General Inspection -- Operational Readiness Security Inspection and Test Evaluation (AGI-ORSITE) revealed during the exit briefing at Camp Delgado the result of their three-day evaluation to all police units here.
Malunda said other than minor defects on skills demonstration and logistic capabilities "this unit (PRO 6) is apparently ready for the inspection and did very well."
The AGI-ORSITE is an annual activity being spearheaded by the Internal Affairs Service to evaluate all police units in the country as regards to their security readiness, logistic capability, manpower and records management among others.
"This is not a sole effort of the IAS; this is Command activity," said Chief Supt. Orlando M. Maddela Jr, Team Leader of AGI-ORSITE, during the entrance briefing last Monday (Aug. 27).
This year’s AGI-ORSITE Team surprised the PNP here with the implementation of "controlled" rank inspection to really ensure the every personnel has the required police paraphernalia, such as issued firearms, handcuffs, whistle, tickler, white hanky, etc. Physical appearance was also noted, from hair cut, finger nails, protruding hair on the nose, and uniform.
In response to the observation of Inspection Team, Chief Supt. Wilfredo V. Dulay Sr., PRO 6 Director, issued a directive to all Provincial and City Directors to conduct a post-AGI-ORSITE to their respective units, subject for validation by the Inspection Team from Regional Headquarters.
"We have to correct these defects as soon as possible," Dulay ordered his men immediately after the exit briefing of AGI-ORSITE Team last week.
Meanwhile, Chief Supt. Maddela gave commendations to Senior Supt. Rosendo C. Franco, Provincial Director of Negros Occidental Provincial Office; Scene of the Crime Operations Team of Regional Crime Laboratory Office (RCLO) 6; and, the first platoon of PRO 6 under SPO4 Rolando Feria, all for their exemplary performance during the Inspection.
