Civil Service Commission (CSC) chair Karina Constantino-David will be the keynote speaker of the Regional Conference of the Career Executive Officers (CEO) on September 14 at Sarabia Manor, this city.
According to Imelda G. Abueg, CSC VI Acting Regional Director, the conference's main agenda is the state of professionalization in the government's executive level. A Forum on the Challenges in Public Governance will also be held and will be participated by the officials and employees of the different government agencies in the region.
Abueg said that the conference outputs will be presented in the Convention of CEOs and Conferment of CEO Ranks on September 26, 2007 in Manila.
The activity is one of the many highlights of the Philippine Civil Service 107th Anniversary with the theme, "Itaguyod ang Kasarinlan ng Career Service".
Along with this theme, a showcase of frontline services of various government agencies will be set up in SM City, on September 26-28, 2007.
The program, dubbed as "Government Express Goes to the Mall" is intended to bring public services to a popular arena to increase the visibility of the government's capacity to deliver fast services.
Abueg invited all government's regional offices to set up a) a one-stop shop of their frontline services where the malling public can complete their transaction within the 3-day period;b) action center where queries, complaints and feedback can be entertained and acted upon on express pace;c) information center where the agency can disseminate its key programs and mandate.
Earlier, the CSC also urged all agencies to conduct a simultaneous flag-raising ceremony last September 3, where a short message from the CSC was read by the agency during the ceremony.
