A Groundbreaking Extravaganza: Notes and images on The Dreamer and The Preacher
Grand Star Dreamer, Yeng Constantino and Pious Groundbreaker, Fr. Jonas Mejares, OSA astounded the crowd at the University of San Agustin Gymnasium last Aug. 28, 2007. The musical was forefronted by Fr. Mejares, with the University of San Agustin Performing Arts. Other guests were the brother of Mejares, and the identical twin daughters of his brother.
After Mejares performed various song numbers, he subsequently introduced Constantino. The electrifying and energized crowd welcomed the Grand Star Dreamer of Pinoy Dream Academy.
At that juncture, Yeng tread the showground with a blow up of pitch and thunderous rhythm of her dazzling hits. First off, she dug her heels in bouncing Time In, followed by the rousing cry of Pangarap Lang. Next she affirmed her melancholy in Cool Off, then, the touching remake of Freddie Aguilar's classic hit, Bulag, Pipi at Bingi. She conveyed her gratefulness and appreciation to her advocates in the expressive signature song Salamat, then she asked the spectators to keep holding on no matter what, in her exceptionally poignant and stirring Hawak Kamay, and more.
In the course of Hawak Kamay, the crowd lit their mobile phones as they waved their arms.
Her concluding song number, Himala, was a duet with Mejares.
Then, all the artists and musicians who played a part in the show were called.
It was truly a nocturnal worth pounding for!
