Camp Delgado re-enforces curfew hours to visitors
"It is no new order," Camp Delgado Commander, Senior Supt. Leo F. Puertollano explained as regards to the curfew hours being implemented at Police Regional Office 6 Headquarters.
The curfew hours to visitors is part of the security measures being implemented at Camp Delgado to deter criminal elements and other threat groups from entering the premises, especially in the wee hours of the night.
The Police Regional Office 6 Director, Chief Supt. Wilfredo V. Dulay Sr., ordered the "re-enforcement" of this measure upon reports that private persons and vehicles were allowed entrance at Camp Delgado even after 10:00 PM.
Part of Dulay's orders were the strict implementation of wearing of GOA uniform for PNP personnel, logging in of private vehicle and wearing of visitor's ID. Likewise, PNP personnel bearing firearms must surrender/deposit the same at the duty guards.
Effective last week, a team of Regional Headquarters Support Group (RHSG) personnel is also being deployed at night to conduct police visibility at premises of Camp Delgado.
"Though we are in an urban area, we can't discount the possibility of any attack from our enemies," Dulay said adding that "we need to be on guard at all times!"
