Government express services go to the mall
More than 25 government agencies will directly serve the transacting public at the Activity Center of SM City Mall, Iloilo City, on September 25- 27, 2007. Dubbed "Government Express Goes to the Mall", the three-day activity is intended to make government services more accessible to the public.
Various agencies in Region 6 will set up a "one stop shop" of their frontline services at SM City Mall. The agencies include the Department of Health, Home Mutual Development Fund, Professional Regulations Commission, National Statistics Office, Social Security System, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, MARINA, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Labor and Employment, Land Transportation Office, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, Philippine Crop Authority, NAPOLCOM, PNP, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Agrarian Reform, West Visayas College of Science and Technology, National Telecommunications Communication, LTFRB, DSWD, Mines and Geosciences Bureau, Public Attorneys' Office, Department of Agriculture, GSIS, Philippine Postal Corporation, Metro Iloilo Water District, West Visayas State University and TESDA.
The Civil Service Commission Regional Office No. 6 organized this activity, which is part of the celebration of the 107th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service. The Commission will also receive applications for the October 28, 2007 Career Service Examination (Professional and Subprofessional) during the three-day activity.
The opening program of the Government Express Goes to the Mall will be on September 25, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. The government booths will be open to the public until September 27, 2007.
