1.90 billion unreached peoples of the world
More than 1.90 billion peoples in the world today are still unreached by the gospel. Seven hundred seventy-one million Hindus, 273 million Buddhists and 161 million people classified as non-religious have no viable, evangelical church movement in their cultures comprising about 2,624 unreached groups. There are 60 countries unreached groups in the 10/40 windows and 57 countries in the 40/70 window. The 10/40 is an imaginary belt between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north of the equator, and extending from Western Africa across the Middle East and Asia. The 40/70 window sites above the 10/40 window between 40 degrees north and 70 degrees north of the equator.
In the Philippines, about 4,836,902 Badjao, Iranun, Jama Mapun, Kalagan, Kalibugan, Magindanao, Maranao, Sama Bangingi, Sama Southern, Sangil, Tausug, Yakan and other non-Muslim people groups are still unreached by the gospel. Most of these minority groups are found in Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan. God is not willing that any Muslim should perish. Intercession has always been vital in every Kingdom activity. God continues to look for men and women who will be willing to stand in the gap for those who are lost. About 14 Muslim tribal groups in this country have yet to see a self-governing, self-propagating, self-sufficient community of indigenous Christian believers from among them. Today, with the growing recognition of the need among members of the Body of Christ to lovingly reach out to our Muslim countrymen, there is a better chance to see Muslim-background believer congregations sprout up and multiply. The author of the booklet: "Prayer Guide – Unreached People Groups of the Philippines" says that the vision of seeing a church planting movement among the unreached people groups of the Philippines can only be realized if we couple outreach efforts with strategic praying. Assist the praying saint in bringing specific petitions before the throne of God in behalf of the work among the sons and daughters of Ishmael. Let us trust that God will break down barriers, open prison doors, and save multitudes among our Muslim countrymen as we engage in fervent intercession. And let us keep at it till we see His kingdom come and His will be done among all the unreached peoples of the Philippines.
