AFP bares CPP-NPA recruitment of 'in-house' kidnappers
Communist terrorists of the local hierarchy of the Communist Party of the Philippines – New People's Army – National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) are reportedly out on a massive recruitment spree.
The mission according to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) here– to train as many members as possible in order to form an elite kidnap for ransom group.
Captain Lowen Gil Marquez, AFP 3rd Civil Relations Group Commanding Officer confirmed the report.
In a news release sent to The News Today (TNT), Captain Marquez disclosed monitored activities of CPP-NPA-NDF local leaders making the rounds in hinterland barangays.
Calling it "a deception propaganda," the AFP decried anew the recruitment amidst information that even minors in Iloilo villages were not spared.One identified barangay where the communist terrorists were spotted was Barangay Jamog of Tigbauan, Iloilo.The terrorists here are believed to be under the Southern Front Committee with some 15 armed members allegedly led by the hitman of a slain farmer.
"The terrorist in Eastern Panay were monitored also making their recruitment in Barangay Agtambo, Passi City with more or less eight terrorists lead by Allan Lerona alias Bong," the news released continued.
"The masses in Western Visayas are religiously appealing to Bayan Muna, Gabriela, Anak Pawis, Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas, Kilusang Mayo Uno, League of Filipino Students and Kabataan to condemn the recruitment of minors, extortion, terrorism and bombing activities of the terror founder and leader Jose Maria Sison and terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF," the AFP news release ended while adding, "if these militant and activist groups were really fighting for justice and genuine human rights as heard in their legal battle cry."
Meantime, an attack was reportedly planned in Negros Occidental aimed at rescuing one detainee at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) here.Arrested for illegal possession of firearms, the rescue plot was uncovered with BJMP Guinhuingan as purported target.
