Negros Youth for Environment celebrates anniversary
Bacolod City -- The Negros Youth for the Environment, Inc. (NYE), a non-stock, non profit environmentalist organization duly registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission will celebrate its founding anniversary on October 25 to 28, 2007.
This is a non-partisan organization committed to environmental conservation and preservation through the conduct of massive educational campaign and exposure mobilizing the youth and involving the communities towards a sustainable development for the betterment of the environment.
Activities scheduled for this anniversary celebration dubbed as "Outbound Escalante" includes a coastal clean up and mangrove planting in the Northern Negros shoreline; workshop on ecology; exposure trip to coastal communities and interaction with the local residents; lecture and talk on environmental topics by invited resource persons; visitation in Jomabo Island; and a musical concert for a cause featuring the New Arrival Band.
NYE was organized in 2003 by its founding chairman Chad William Ascalon. (PIA/cad)
