BFP personnel to undergo training in Negros Occidental
More or less 40 personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) coming from its field offices will undergo a two-day training on collapse structure and rescue in Murcia, Negros Occidental from November 30 to December 1.
BFP regional director, Fire S/Supt. Aloveel Ferrer, said the training is necessary to prepare their personnel in case they have to undertake rescue attempts when responding to fire incidents.
“This is the first time that our personnel will undergo such kind of training,” he said.
Ferrer added that the BFP is also mandated to conduct rescue operations in times of calamity.
He cited that the personnel of the BFP were the first to arrive at the scene of the incident in Ginsaugon, Leyte.
The training will be handled by competent instructors of the Amity Public Safety Academy, who underwent training here and abroad. (PNA)
