15IB finally returns to 3ID
The 15th Infantry (Molave) Battalion, headed by its Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. Henry Dar, which was deployed in Sulu for about four months has finally moved back to 3rd Infantry Division.
The immediate deployment of 15IB in Sulu, sometime in August, as part of the Rapid Deployment Force of the Armed Forces Philippines, was an emergency response whenever there are threats in some parts of the country. The "Molave Warriors" were there to help maintain the peace and order in Sulu province.
The battalion returned to 3ID after the security situation in Sulu has stabilized. They will undergo re-training at the Division Training Unit of 3rd Infantry Division. Re-training for every Infantry Battalion is part of the AFP Defense Reform Program to reshape and refurbish its units to become more capable and responsive to any challenges. The personnel will be equipped with the skills to effectively and efficiently address the insurgency problem in the country.
The 3ID Commander, Major General Jovenal Narcise assured the public that the army in the region will continue their mandated task of protecting the people, defend our democracy and uphold and respect the rights of every individual.
