Wish Upon a Star: Rotary Club of Central Iloilo City plays Santa
Awarding of gifts
Some 153 kids from three day care centers of Iloilo City benefited from "Wish Upon a Star," a yearly project of the Rotary Club of Central Iloilo City. The kids came from Buntatala I and II, Janiuay and Tigbauan Day Care Centers. They were awed by the tricks and skills of Joven, the clown. After that dose of white magic, they were treated to a number by two young ladies singing "Bituing Walang Ningning." Then, they feasted on siopao and juice. This was followed by a gift-giving. The gifts were food, PE uniform, balloons and candies.
The Wish Upon a Star Project was started in Dec. 18, 2001 under the presidency of Alex Ong, with Robinsons Place Iloilo as the perrenial partner. It was supported by Robinsons Supermarket, A&C Exhibit, Johnny Young, Picture City, Mang Inasal and Hongkong Kitchen.
