Banias assures support to region's cops; PRO 6 awards its PIO

Aside from the commendation for the job well done, the region's police force get an affirmation of support from Presidential Assistant for Panay and Guimaras Raul N. Banias during the Distinguished Visitor's Program of Police Regional Office 6 yesterday.
"You have done well, despite the odds. But you and I can do some more… My office affirms its support of the police force," Banias said in his speech during the program.
"If you have concerns you want the President to know, like unpaid benefits, you can course these through me," he added.
Before his appointment as Presidential Assistant Banias served as Mayor of the municipality of Concepcion for three consecutive terms.
PRO 6 Director Chief Supt. Wilfredo V. Dulay Sr expressed confidence that with the help of PA Banias, Western Visayas will get support from President Arroyo in its fight against criminalities and other threats to peace and order
Recently, Dulay announced that PRO 6 ranked No.1 nationwide having achieved the highest crime solution efficiency.
Meanwhile, PRO 6 conferred awards to its Regional Public Information Office personnel for their noteworthy accomplishments, particularly on the preparation of news releases during the election period.
The PRO6 PIO is headed by Senior Supt. Norlito C. Bautista, in concurrent capacity as the Chief Regional Directorial Staff.
The PNP personnel who received the awards were PO2 Francisco B. Lindero Jr., PO2 Diana May C. Reyes; PO1 Jeramae C. Rio and NUP Violeta H. Bandoquillo.
The PRO 6 PIO was created on January 15, 2007 as part of the compliance to the Integrated Transformation Program of the Philippine National Police.
The PIO is also in-charged of the program Talakayan Sa Isyung Pulis, a Cable TV Program in cooperation with the Central Philippine University Alumni Channel and Sky Cable Channel 8, every Thursday (live) and Saturday (replay).
