PRO 6 has new spokesperson
Police Superintendent Ranulfo I Demiar took over as Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 Public Information Officer, replacing Police Senior Superintendent Norlito C Bautista.
Demiar was the Acting Chief of Regional Police Community Relations Division and once served as Officer-In-Charge of Antique Police Provincial Office. Prior to his assignment to PRO6 Headquarters, he was the Deputy City Director of Iloilo City Police Office.
PRO 6 Director, Police Chief Superintendent Wilfredo V Dulay, Sr., installed Demiar to the new post to strengthen the drive for information dissemination particularly those which concern the safety and security of the populace.
Bautista has exactly a-year stint as spokesperson of PRO 6 when he assumed the position on January 15, 2007 upon the creation of the PIO as part of the Integrated Transformation Program of Philippine National Police.
The weekly cablecast of Talakayan Sa Isyung Pulis (TSIP) in coordination with Central Philippine University (CPU) Alumni Channel or Sky Cable Channel 8 is among the many notable accomplishments and initiatives of Bautista. The program has gained wide patronage in City of Iloilo as manifested by the number of comments, queries, suggestions, and feedback through the hotline numbers.
Bautista held the position as spokesperson on concurrent capacity as the Chief of Regional Directorial Staff. Hence, with the assumption of Demiar to the post, Bautista can now give more focus on his assignments being the fourth Top Cop in Western Visayas. (PO2 Francisco Lindero Jr)
