PRO 6: Iloilo City Police Office still the best
The Police Regional Office (PRO 6 Director, Chief Supt. Wilfredo Dulay Sr. is all praises to Iloilo City Police Office with the results of 2007 4th Quarter Performance Evaluation Rating showing that it bested eight other police units in the region.
The performance evaluation is being conducted every semester to assess the output of every provincial and city offices both in the field of operations and administrations. Hence, the criteria are based on their accomplishments in relation to personnel development which includes training and enhancement programs, intelligence, investigation, operations, plans, logistics, research and development, police-community relations and finance management.
Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office comes next to ICPO and Aklan Police Provincial Office rallied at No. 3. They are followed by Bacolod City Police Office, Capiz Police Provincial Office, Iloilo Police Provincial Office, Guimaras Police Provincial Office, 6th Regional Mobile Group, and Antique Police Provincial Office.
Dulay said the performance evaluation gives the police units an overview of their respective efforts in the maintenance of peace and order every quarter.
"We encourage all our police units to be more competitive," the region's top cop said adding that ICPO's consistency is also indicative of the exemplary competence, efficiency, and effectiveness of the ICPO Director, Police Senior Superintendent Wesley A Barayuga. (PO2 Francisco Lindero Jr)
