SK prexy denies hand on death threats vs. 3 colleagues
Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation president John Melchor Mabilog denied any hand on the death threats received via text by three SK chairs from Mandurriao district.
"I would never do such thing to these SK chairmen," said Mabilog.
The text messages sent to Brylle Alviso, 18 years old, of Brgy. Oñate de Leon, Rodel Tejam, 16, of Taft North and Lucelyn Bernardo, 17, of Dungon C stated: "Maghanda ka Brylle kay patyon ta ka. Sagabal ka sa plano ni sir John Melchor Mabilog."
The text messages prompted the parents of the three SK chairmen to report the matter to the Mandurriao police station. The blotter serves as an information tool to the police whatever happens to the three SK chairmen. They reported the matter to the police last January 29, 2008.
Mabilog said the text messages that used his name was meant to discredit him.
He said the text messages were made to destroy the bonding he has already made with the SK chairmen in the city.
He said it is impossible for a person to send death threats using his own name.
"I would never do such a thing and these three SK barangay chairmen are my close friends," Mabilog added.
The SK federation chair considered the "text messages thing" as a big challenge to his leadership and the entire SK organization. He, however, assured that it will not ruin the friendship and trust he has invested to his fellow SK officials.
