Antique PNP honors top performers
San Jose, Antique – The Antique Police Provincial Office led by Provincial Director Senior Supt. Ren T. Darroca celebrated a simple 17th PNP Founding Anniversary with the theme "Mamang Pulis: Tagapagtaguyod ng Karapatang Pang-Tao sa Kapanatagan ng Mamamayan" last February 4, 2008 and honored its outstanding personnel for the calendar year 2007.
Dubbed "Bugal kang Antique Police Provincial Office 2007" , the activity gave due recognition to 15 newly promoted personnel, 13 retirees and the best performing stations, units and personnel with Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member and Chairman on the Committee on Peace and Public Safety Hon. Benjamin E Juanitas as distinguished visitor and speaker.
Leading the newly promoted Antique PPO personnel were Patnongon and Hamtic MPS chiefs-of-police Chief Insp. Luis R. de Roxas, and Insp. Lauro A. Escobar who were promoted to Police Superintendent and Police Senior Inspector, respectively, along with 13 others promoted to Police Officer 3.
"Continue to enhance your knowledge and take on career schooling to further hasten your police abilities and capabilities to ensure the delivery of prompt and dedicated police service to the community you serve," said Supt. de Roxas as he expressed his thanks to his wife and family, fellow brothers in the PNP service and the Local Chief Executives who have helped him achieve his rise from the ranks.
Meanwhile, Chief Insp. German S. Magbanua Jr. (Ret), former Provincial PCR Officer led 12 other retirees in receiving Certificates of Recognition for their invaluable services and dedication to duty as members of the defunct Philippine Constabulary – Integrated National Police and now the Philippine National Police.
In his valedictory speech, Magbanua reiterated to all PNP members present "to do everything they can to better serve the community they vowed to serve and protect".
On the other hand, the Chief Insp. Marloe L. Marfil-led 603rd Provincial Mobile Group was awarded the Best Provincial Mobile Group of the year as San Jose Municipal Police Station was adjudged as the Best Municipal Police Station.
On personnel, Senior Iinsp. Gilbert T. Gorero, San Jose MPS Chief-of-Police was adjudged as Best Police Commissioned Officer for the year as Laua-an MPS Officer-in-Charge SPO3 Roberto T Gallofin was awarded the Best Senior Police Non-commissioned Officer with SPO1 Salvador M Emmanuel II, Antique PPO Intelligence PNCO, was conferred the Best Junior Senior Police Non-commissioned Officer.
"With your exemplary discipline and effective implementation of police policies and programs, the province experienced a better climate of peace and order conducive to investment and business opportunities which lead to the development of every municipality in particular and in the whole province in general. Continue your good and noble work and live up to the expectations of the community as protectors of peace and democracy, ensuring that the people can leave peacefully and harmoniously in our province's quest for progress", said Hon.
