The Delegates
The JCI-Iloilo Ilang-Ilang, is the first all women chapter in Western Visayas of the Junior Chamber International, a Worldwide Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs.
It is currently the number one chapter in the Philippines and also the Most Outstanding Chapter. It is composed of energetic, professional, and young women entrepreneurs and their mission is to contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing opportunities for young people to develop their leadership skills.
2002-2007 SK Chairman Awardees and the Ilang-ilang ladies
Recently, they conducted a free two-day Leadership Training for 120 Iloilo City SK chairpersons at Racso's Woodland and Inland Resort.
The JCI Iloilo Ilang-Ilang, headed by Levy Mae Besara, president, thought of activities that would help the SK chairpersons on becoming effective youth leaders.
Invited to speak were representatives from different areas of the government and organizations.
The project chairman, City Councilor Julienne "Jam-Jam" Baronda and the SK Alumni Association prepared a series of activities, like: Team Building Activity, Levelling of Expectations, Grouping and Tasking (Ilang-Ilang Jaycees); Youth Moral Recovery and Values Formation (Urminico Baronda); Brief Orientation of SK Roles and Responsibilities (Janet Naldoza/DILG Director); Responsive and Dynamic Youth Leadership (Lagrimas Rapiz/SK Alumni); Youth Issues and Concerns (Mark Borres); and How to Become a Good Public Speaker. They were also oriented to the important laws that concern the youth.

Free shirts and seminar kits were given away during the registration period. The delegates wore color-coded shirts representing their respective.
During the cultural night, they showcased their talents and had the chance to meet other group members.
At end of the second day, the "Pasidungog 2007" was held in honor of the Outgoing SK Chairmen (terms 2002-2007), and the recognition of the newly elected young officials for completing the seminar.
Certificates of Exemplary awards were given. Rhoan Louiege Belgira was chosen as the Most Outstanding SK Chairman because of his peformance for five years.
Recognition was also given to the organizing comittee, speakers and trainors.
A turn-over ceremony of responsibilities and obligations to the newly elected SK also took place.
The public officials who were present during the awarding ceremony were Vice Mayor Jed Mabilog, City Councilors Lyndon Acap and Jam-Jam Baronda, and the newly elected SK Federation President John Melchor Mabilog.
