DOH-CHD 6 implements Code White Alert during Holy Week
The Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) 6 is implementing the Code White Alert this Holy Week in anticipation of any eventuality that might happen among tourists and travelers on a pilgrimage.
DOH-CHD 6 Regional Director Lydia Depra-Ramos said that under Code White Alert, all chiefs of hospitals are instructed to make ready their emergency rooms and medicines for any case that might be referred to them.
The hospital personnel must also be available to attend to emergency cases.
The move, the health official said, is to ensure that enough medical personnel will be available to provide treatment and other health services to those who will need them.
DOH-CHD 6 Code White Alert is being implemented this Holy Week because of the influx of tourists and pilgrims who usually visit the different areas in Western Visayas for the various religious activities in observance of the season.
Also expected to troop to the different provinces in Western Visayas are those who want to come home as part of their vacation during the four-day weekend during Holy Week. (PNA)
