Obedience to God
Good things happen to people who love God and obedient to the commands of His son Jesus Christ. The child of God is different, not indifferent. We need to be clothed with the righteousness of God. "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5. In hard times, Christians know that they have to go closer to God. Obedience is better than sacrifice. After one has come to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit will work in his life. Abraham, Moses, Jacob, and Isaiah obeyed God and they received God's bountiful blessings. They obeyed God's voice and they were delivered from many temptations in their life. "When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the Lord your God and obey His voice. For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them." Deuteronomy 4:30-31.
God wants His children to be obedient to God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 1.14, "An obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts as in your ignorance. And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power." Ephesians 1:19. If man continues to live in sin such as fornication, adultery, and other unrighteousness and abomination which God hates, then the wages of sin is death. "but the free gift is not like the offense. For if by one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many." Romans 5:15
Jesus Christ suffered and died for our sins. Our sins have been forgiven when Christ died on the Cross of Calvary. Shall we continue to sin and die to our sins? The sufferings of Christ is enough reminder to us sinners and righteous to live to the expectation of our God. "Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things He suffered." Hebrews 5:8. Let us all remain sinless, if possible, till Christ comes and bring us all to his Kingdom where there is no more tears, sufferings, hardship and death. Let us obey Christ. Obedience is better than sacrifice.
