Passi City passes 'Public Moral and Decency Code'
Dumangas follows suit with 'Gender and Devt Code'
When in the component city of Passi, expect city officials to keep watch of what is moral and decent. Or at least, what has been provided for in its latest City Ordinance dubbed as the "Public Moral and Decency Code."
Contained in City Ordinance No. 2007-029-A, final approval was finally achieved following the nod granted by the Committee on Ordinances, Legal Matters and Inter-Government Relations.
The go-signal was contained in Committee Report No. 60 after deliberations led by committee chair, Fourth District Board Member George Demaisip.
Valid and legal, Demaisip said thus the recommendation for its corresponding approval.
Meantime, the Municipality of Dumangas, Iloilo for its part will also see the implementation of a "Gender Development Code."
Deliberated by the same committee, easy approval was again granted with the group likewise finding the Gender Code all valid and legal.
The Committee presented its recommendations in Committee Report No. 61 for Ordinance No. 2007-04 dubbed "An Ordinance Providing for a Gender and Development Code in the Municipality of Dumangas, Iloilo."
