Court issues hold departure order vs Tsinoy bizman accused of rape
The Regional Trial Court (RTC) has issued a hold departure order against a Filipino-Chinese businessman accused of Rape by a minor.
RTC Branch 27 presiding judge Ma. Elena G. Opinion in an order dated March 11, 2008, but was made available to the media only yesterday, issued a hold departure order against businessman Wilson C. Lim who is facing a Rape and Rape by sexual assault charges in Criminal Cases No. 07-64764 and 07-647765.
Lim was accused by a 16-year old girl of rape in December last year.
Nene (not her real name) in her affidavit alleged that she was hired as a house help at Lim's residence in Delgado Street, Iloilo City on December 9, 2007.
She claimed that the following day, December 10, after eating breakfast Lim forcibly raped her inside her room.
The victim further alleged in her affidavit that after the incident she immediately left the house of her employer and told her grandmother about what happened to her.
Her grandmother then accompanied her to the Women and Children Concern Section of the Iloilo City Police Office to report the incident.
Lim was immediately arrested by the police but he was able to post bail for his temporary liberty.
Lim in earlier reports strongly denied the girl's allegation.
