The Lopez Family fund-raising for the Taos Puso Foundation
Taos Puso Foundation Incorporated (TPFI) invites one and all to a rare look and chance to own personal collections of the Lopez Family. Yet more importantly, help in the continuing civic and livelihood works of the foundation aimed at helping the poorest of the poor of Iloilo and Guimaras.
Dubbed "Fashion Collection Sale For A Cause," personal contributions of TPFI founders, Albertito and Emily Lopez, son Tito and daughter Celine are offered to the public at a special discounted prices.
The collections include a wide selection of signature shoes, bags, apparel and the swimwear designs of Celine.
"All the proceeds will go to the foundation and the money will be used as added funds for the livelihood project and livelihood assistance to our beneficiary-families. This is just one of the many ways we are trying to raise seed capital for the foundation's wonderful works. And this is also one of the many ways the community is able to share and make reality the vision and mission to serve. Please help us help others. Together let us make it happen. Among the planned projects of TPFI is the backyard vegetable-growing and raising of native chickens. TPFI for years now has been instrumental in the upliftment of lives of thousands of Ilonggo families.
Created in 1988, TPFI has since kept and strengthened its women volunteers with community-based sustainable projects. Among its yearly activities is the medical mission and mass feeding programs for some 5,000 pre-school children of Iloilo and Guimaras.
The previous years also saw the expansion of the membership and operations of the foundation. To date, TPFI is some 60,000 member-strong with presence felt in all municipalities of the 2nd District of Iloilo and the lone district of Guimaras. TPFI is also in Iloilo City, particularly in La Paz and Jaro districts, where the Lopez Family proudly traced its roots and humble beginnings.
TPFI is a non-stock, non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization that promotes and facilitates delivery of basic social services of marginalized women and children. TPFI is also at the helm of building and rebuilding lives of the poorest of the poor in Iloilo and Guimaras.
Today, Taos Puso continues to excel and deliver under the inspiration and guidance of the Lopezes and lawyer-broadcast journalist, Joebert Peñaflorida, TPFI Executive Director.

"Fashion Collection Sale For A Cause" is slated on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Lopez Residence, (Colonial House) in Luna Street, Lapaz, Iloilo City beside the ABS-CBN compound.
