Philhealth - Capiz awards top 10 remitting employers
ROXAS CITY –The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Capiz Provincial Service Office has recently recognized and awarded the Top 10 Reporting and Remitting Private and Government Agencies last May 9 at the Governor's Hall of the Provincial Capitol here.
The top 10 awardees from the various government agencies provincewide are Capiz State University (CapSU) – Mambusao unit (1st), Capiz National High School (2nd), CapSU – Roxas City unit (3rd), municipality of Pontevedra (4th), Metro Roxas Water District (MRWD) (5th), municipality of Panay (6th), CapSU – Pontevedra (7th), municipality of Tapaz (8th), municipality of Panit-an (9th), and Roxas City government (10th).
For its part, the private sector awardees are Capiz Electric Cooperative (CAPELCO), St. Anthony College Hospital, Capiz Sugar Central, Inc., Filamer Christian College, Philips Seafood Philippines Corp., Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion, CAL's Poultry Supply, Tinsay Security Agency and RCL Direct Marketing.
"May you will be models for others to emulate," said PhilHealth-Capiz Chief Social Insurance Officer Joe Frederick T. Diaz referring to recipients of the awards.
An Employers' Forum was also conducted before the awarding ceremony to inform and update the participants on various aspects of PhilHealth membership.
Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco said that the activity is "a laudable effort to inspire employers in encouraging more membership in their respective sector."
"The awardees exemplify the best way we should respond to government programs," Tanco added.
Earlier, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has called on the various sectors in the country to extend their full support and cooperation to PhilHealth to stimulate public awareness on issues involving Social Health Insurance and its impact on society.
The various sectors encouraged to extend full support to Philhealth include all government agencies, local government units, government owned and controlled corporations, government financing institutions, and private sectors as well as the media and the entire citizenry. (PIA/A.Lumaque)
