TOT'S World Under the Sea
Little Tisha Honrado
Parents just loved to give a children's party especially when their tot one is as lovely and cuddly as Little Trisha, the darling of young enterprising couple Patrick and Thursday Ortiz- Honrado of Roxas City.
Well, a party was given one afternoon a few weeks ago and this writer was honored to be there. The theme was what almost all little girls wanted - Under the Sea. Held in the family-owned popular beach restaurant the Sandbar, the children of Patrick and Thursday's friends and relatives came in full force in their favorite sea world costumes and bathing suits to celebrate the 1st birthday of Little Trisha complete with a clown magician, an inflated mini swimming pool, lots of parlor games, some hula dance number and a little theater presentation. It was a sheer delight to all those restless kids!

It was a perfect time for the "sea urchins' to play and have fun while their proud moms and dads were busy comparing notes with other parents of their little tykes' growing up stages. The grandparents and other young-at-heart were just too delighted to sit back and relax with the sparkle in their eyes while gazing at their young wards who were oblivious to all the shrieks, the running and laughter of other Trisha's cute guests.
Ahhh, the birthday food was simply marvelous, which this writer missed so much (haven't been to a children's party for quite awhile). I helped myself to a plate full of spaghetti in sweet tomato sauce, macaroni and ham salad, crisp fried chicken, pork barbeque, sponge cake, lechon and down it with a bottle of cold soda. To top it all, I had a double serving of homemade ice cream in mango flavor! Yummy.
As the sun was setting in so was the party coming to an end. The parents were starting to pack up their things and the kids became quiet in one corner --- droopy eyed, exhausted from all the fun and games. And as for me, I sat down on the beach and watched the beautiful sunset with two ice cream cones on my hand. I just love children's parties! Happy Birthday Little Trisha. Ciao.
