Iloilo Blood Coordinating Council announces its jingle making contest
The Iloilo Blood Coordinating Council based at the Western Visayas Medical Center Blood Bank, Mandurriao, Iloilo City announces the holding of a Jingle Making Contest for this year.
According to Dr. Robert E. Ponje, Nurse IV of the Iloilo Provincial Health Office and the chairman of the Organizing Committee, this contest is in time for Iloilo Blood Coordinating Council's celebration of the World Donor's Day Celebration on June 13.
The mechanics of the contest involves the eligibility, entry and judging. For the eligibility, contestant/s must be bonafide resident/s of Western Visayas next is that parental consent to join the contest is required for contestants below 18 years old and lastly solo or group of not more than five performers.
For entry requirements, entry must be submitted in compact disc (CD) with accomplished official entry form, jingle must be an original composition in Filipino, not less than 15 seconds and not to exceed 30 seconds. Any musical instrument can be used for accompaniment. Jingle should contain the elements of volunteerism, blood donation and life-saving using the theme: "Kapamilya, Kaibigan, Kadugo, Kapuso". A team leader must be identified for groups for easy correspondence. Deadline for submission of entries is on June 9, 2008 at 5:00 PM. Lastly entries should be submitted to Ms. Emilia V. For the judging, a pre-final judging of top 10 entries will be on June 10, 2008 at the 2nd Floor conference Room, Iloilo Provincial Capitol, Iloilo City. Live performance and final judging will be on June 13, 2008 at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Lobby (Fountain Area) at 4:00 PM in celebration of the World Blood Donor's Day 2008. (Capitol News)
