Tourism officers, NITI, attend 'adventure' gab
BACOLOD CITY -- Tourism officers from four cities in Negros Occidental, together with the Negros Island Tourism Inc. (NITI), attended the "Adventure Philippines: A Seminar on Adventure Tourism" held at Hotel Stotsenberg at the Clark Special Economic Zone in Pampanga recently.
The Negrense participants were from the cities of Bacolod, San Carlos, Sipalay and Escalante.
"Adventure Philippines" a massive campaign of the Department of Tourism, Philippines Convention and Visistors Corporation, in collaboration with Recreational Outdoor Exchange, launched the Philipipines as a premier adventure destination.
Participants included representatives from local government units, tourism stakeholders and outdoor recreational groups.
Negros Occidental's rich tourism assets pave the way towards developing exciting tour packages in the province.
The "Adventure Negros" campaign promotes diving, spelunking, biking, golf and jet skiing/sea kayaking as top adventure activities. (PIA/cad)
