DFA Regional Office receives 300-400 passport applications per day
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Regional Office 6 is able to receive an average of 300-400 passport applications per day.
DFA OIC-Regional Director Rutas Patricio said that these number of applications they receive everyday excluded already those from Bacolod City and Negros Occidental that are around 75-80 per day because of the opening of their consular office in Bacolod City.
She said that despite the plan to increase the fee for passport issuance, their regional office is charging P500 for the regular processing and P750 for the express processing of each passport.
Patricio added that the Machine Readable Passport is still being issued by their head office in Metro Manila and what they only do is to gather data of the applicants in their regional office.(PNA)
