91 PRO-6 cops qualify in PNP Lateral Entry Program
The oath taking of 91 police personnel who qualified the PNP Lateral Entry Program is set this month waiting the issuance of their Ombudsman clearances, which is expected to be completed in the next few days.
This is in compliance to NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular No 2008-006 prescribing the guidelines and procedures for Lateral Entry of officers into the PNP.
Of the 91 candidates, 85 will fill the slots allotted to Police Regional Police 6 while 6 candidates will be absorbed by PRO 8. There is a total of 1,654 vacancies for the ranks of Police Inspectors and Police Senior Inspector under the CY 2008 Lateral Entry program of the Philippine National Police as prescribed in NAPOLCOM Resolution Nr. 2008-230.
The lateral entrants who will appointed with temporary status will receive P18,334.00 monthly for police inspectors, while P 19,067.00 monthly for Police Senior Inspectors.
This batch of PRO 6 lateral entrants will undergo a 5 to 6 months Public Safety Basic Officer's Training Course at the Regional Training School 6 in Bakyas, Mansilingan, Bacolod City. They will also undergo a Field Training Program at the different Police Offices in Region 6.
This year's batch of lateral entrants includes, Lawyers, Medical Doctors, Pastors, Priests or Imams, Dentists, Civil, Electrical, and Geodetic Engineers, Architects, Communications Electricians, Information Technologist, Forensic Chemists, Psychologists and Criminologists. (VH Bandoquillo)
