Donna Casio: Bringing quality news to Capiz
Donna possesses the values of dedication, putting emphasis on her quality of work, innovation and creativity, which are some of the secret ingredients to success

The News Today is enjoying a steady rise in patronage in Capiz Province in over a month of its operations there. In terms of visibility, the paper is number one in Capiz. Thanks to the dedication of the men and women of TNT, including Donna Casio, its Capiz Bureau Chief.
She took up a masteral in Public Management in the University of the Philippines and now taking up doctorate studies in Educational Management in the same school. She is also working as a research coordinator of Filamer Christian College. "My work is to do research as the college is upgrading itself always," she said.
Donna had long been passionate about journalism. "I love working with TNT. Most of all, the product is really good; there's the quality of the paper, balanced news, varied topics making it interactive with readers and there's support from the management. Ms. Marichel Magalona (managing director) accommodates all my requests," Donna said.

Capiz is ready for TNT, said Donna. "They read TNT a lot. They really welcome our paper there, for reasons I have already mentioned," she added.
Donna also heads Spellworks Media Productions that produces local TV shows in Roxas City.
Indeed, she is delving in two sectors she is passionate about – the media and education.
Not only that, she's also busy with community work, being a member of the Roxas City Integrated Lions Club; president of Agbay Support Services Center, a non-government organization with advocacy for women and informal sectors; and treasurer of the Capiz White Penguin Development Corporation. She's the proprietress of Wadee's Artworld and Tootsie's Purified Drinking Water.

With so many responsibilities on her hands, does she ever have time for leisure? "I can't seem to find a enough spare time. Monday to Friday, I work. On Saturdays, I study. It's only during Sundays that we get to have a family day," she said.
She is married to Col. Virgilio Casio, a native of Capiz. She, on the other hand, is a native of Passi City.
One thing that Donna looks forward to after the hard work, is a summer with her husband where they spend it travelling. "We have travelled in Asia, like Hongkong, China, Singapore and Bangkok (Thailand). We used to travel back and forth Hongkong because I also tried my hand in selling Hongkong stuff here," she said.
From her travels, Donna has learned a lot about other cultures and people. "It has widened my horizons. You see, I love to know many things --- civic, social, political and government."

Working with TNT jives with Donna's love of knowing many things. After all, being in media avails you of first hand information of just about everything.
"I'm so excited to be with TNT. From Capiz, we will move on to Aklan," she enthuses.
