IPG excellent, very good in frontline services
The Iloilo Provincial Government (IPG) is once again honored with the awards tendered by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office No. 6 as "Excellent and Very Good" in different frontline services.
Those frontline services rated Excellent in exhibiting the value of customer care and meeting the expectations of the transacting public for prompt, courteous, responsive and pleasant service were on Inquiry on General Matters and Payment of Fees and Taxes at the Treasurer's Office while those frontline services rated Very Good were Request for a Legal Opinion at the Legal Office and Real Property Assessment of the Assessor's Office.
In a communication of Director Rodolfo B. Encajonado to Gov. Niel D. Tupas, Sr., the awards were the results of the CSC's Public Service Delivery Audit/Assistance (PASADA) which was conducted on May to August of this year.
Encajonado said PASADA is the CSC's proactive mechanism which systematically checked and evaluated in a simple strategy the government frontline services using a pool of volunteers or public service monitors.
This year the CSC has audited 116 frontline services of 27 government services, 2 local government units, 1 banking institution and 3 government hospitals based in the Province of City of Iloilo.
It can be recalled that last year the IPG was also rated very good in its frontline services. This year, the IPG has maintained this status and even perked up its frontline services to serve the public efficiently and effectively.
The awarding ceremony will be on September 22, 2008 at SM City Activity Center during the Opening of the "Government Express Goes to the Mall."
This activity is in line with celebration of the 108th Civil Service Anniversary with this year's theme "Republic Service - Kabalikat ng Bayan sa Panahon ng Paghamon". (Capitol News)
