Res Gestae
Museum?!?
No. It was a library. But, as you looked around it, the displays were archaic. Garbage!
The books were dated long before I was born. They were no good except for their historical value. Thus, I thought I was entering a museum then.
It was last week when I visited my sister in the elementary school where my nine siblings and I finished our basic education – the great Zarraga Central Elementary School.
My sister is the newly designated librarian. Museum attendant?!?
I write this without ridicule to my alma mater. I want to help. I don't have (enough) money though to buy books, but my readers… the philanthropists may lift a finger.
Donations may be delivered directly to the ZCES administrators. That will greatly surprise them. Or, should you need assistance for your donations, you may contact me at (033) 3350277 or 09193161190.
I need not do this... pleading to you dear readers… if only Tito Boboy and Tita Judy were sensitive enough that their "Education for All" program is not all about uniforms, bags, and notebooks. Importantly, through the program, they need to support the schools with books and reference materials.
By the way, I haven't seen in that library, nay museum, a single copy of Tito Boboy's book "Chicken for the Soul." Worse, I haven't seen a copy of the local daily (not this paper), which publishes news praises on the programs and projects of Tito Boboy in partnership with Tita Judy.
Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! This couple and political tandem should have known better.
Or, the people (read: electorates) in the second district must have known better.
But, it is not too late for Tito Boboy and Tita Judy. The 2010 election is way ahead. And, I have the contention that the people in our district are learning their lessons well. They have now realized that while cash is good, books are better investment for the 'hope of the fatherland.'
By the way, haven't I heard the name of a retired police general is getting popular among second district electorates?
Does not he thinking of donating a few volumes of books and reference materials for ZCES?
Wait, my mobile phone is ringing.
"Yes, sir! You will donate books to ZCES, sir?!? Oh, thank you, sir!
