Jaro Archdiocese effects transfer of 40 priests
Forty Catholic Churches and Parishes within the Archdiocese of Jaro will have new Parish Priests effective November.
This, as Circular No. 228/23/2008 was released yesterday as issued by Archbishop Angel Lagdameo.
His Excellency, in disclosing the appointments and corresponding transfers likewise announced the retention of around 54 Parish Priests or Chaplains. Those spared of the transfer will remain in their respective Parishes till 2011 "upon their written request or for other reasons.."
For the 40 with new assignments though, Archbishop Lagdameo wrote, "I gratefully appreciate their courageous and humble spirit of apostolic zeal in accepting their new assignments. These appointments will officially take effect in the month of November until the First Sunday of Advent upon taking possession of their assignments."
The announcement covered the following Catholic priests with respective new assignments:
Father Macario Sortido will be the Parochial Vicar of the Jaro Cathedral, Our Lady of Candles Parish, Father Robert Amalay will be the Parochial Vicar of Lapaz, Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish alongside Father Renato Cuadras, currently with the Mandurriao Parish. Father Jose Crescente Amparo – St. John Mary Vianney Center, Father Oscar Andrada – Maasin, St. James the Greater Parish, Father Francisco Angostura – Sibunag, Guimaras, Our Lady of Lourdes Chaplaincy, Father Sulpicio Basas – San Dionisio, St. Vincent Ferrer Parish, Father Nonato Beltran – Jelicoun, Our Lady of Candles Parish, Father Melben Benal – Sto. Tomas, Passi City, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Father Jesus Cabalum, Leon, St, Catherine of Alexandria Parish, Father Rabindranath Catalan, Dueñas, St. Jerome Parish and Father Efren Condino, Igbaras St. John the Baptist Parish.
The Circular also covered Father Tomas Delicana who will be transferred from Sta. Ana Parish in Molo to Pototan's Patronage of St. Joseph Parish, while Father Gil Elanga will be the new Chaplain of the Western Visayas Sanitarium. Father Joel Eslabra will be in Bingawan, Conversion of St. Paul Parish, Father Jose Alberto Guillen off to Barotac Viejo, Sts. Peter and Paul, Apostles Parish, Father Ricardo Iniego, Badiangan, St. John the Baptist Parish, Father Jerry Locsin, Monfort North, Dumangas, St. Isidore, the Farmer Parish, Father Agapito Losaria, Carles, St. Teresa of Avila Parish and Father Francisco Nicolasora, Januiay, St. Julian Parish.
St. Nicolas of Tolentine Parish in Ajuy will have Father Clasico Nufable while Our Lady of the Pillar Parish in M.H. Del Pilar, Jaro will have Father Romulo Pana. Father Franklin Pilaspilas – San Enrique, Mary Help of Christians Parish, Father Titus Prudente – Layog, Maasin, St. Martin de Porres Parish, Father Joel Rudi – Salngan, Passi City, St. Joseph Parish, Father Socrates Sardon – Guimbal, St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish, Father Ramon Sequito – Balasan, St. Anne Parish, Father Abelardo Sobredo – Lemery, The Holy Child Parish, Father Norberto Tacadao – San Rafael, St. Raphael, the Archangel Parish, Father Herminio Tacardon – Igbugo, Miag-ao, The Holy Child Parish, Father John Taclain – Dumangas, St. Augustine Parish, Father Tomas Terania, Lawigan, Our Lady of Salvation Parish and Father Dioscoro Villasis – Bongco, Bangga Bante, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
