La Carlota City builds new City Health Office
BACOLOD CITY -- La Carlota City will soon have a new two-storey City Health Center building at the cost of more than P16 million.
The project will be completed by December this year and will be opened for public in January 2009. It will have 16 rooms, 16 offices on the ground floor and 13 rooms on the first floor.
Mayor Demie John Honrado and Vice Mayor David Baga led the ground-breaking rites together with members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod: Luis Jalandoni III, Rosalinda Aguirre, Julian Chiang, Zaldy Pernito, Ruel Alvañez, Ciriaco Sia, Jacob Liansing, Jose Luis Miguel Solomon Sicangco IV, Jeffrey Rumbines and Jose Leonel Bugante.
The construction was made possible with LOGO-FIND World Bank grant of P8 million, P2.4 in equity and with the P5.6 million counterpart from the city government.
Honrado said along with the expansion of the city hospital is the corresponding expansion of reaching to more less privileged families in the city which is one of his priority projects.
This development jibes with the national goal of President Gloria M. Arroyo to stir the economy through massive infrastructure projects as well as provide quality health care to every Filipinos. (PIA-LOL)
