Will it be Obama or McCain in White House 2009?
As the U.S. Presidential election comes closer to D-Day, the African-Americans are beginning to close ranks behind Senator Obama's presidential bid. Former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, a black Republican, endorsed Obama's White House aspiration. A month ago, a black lady TV host also endorsed Obama and many critics say that being in television business, she should have stayed neutral. Another Republican Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is being watched whether she will also switch loyalty. But Rice being an avid supporter of Pres. George Bush may remain loyal to the party in power, the Republican Party.
There is no doubt that in many mid-Western and key northern and southern states, the white voters outnumber the black in the ration of 4 to 1, and it is not certain that they will go for McCain and Palin, white presidential and vice presidential candidates.
Many influential white voters are also supporting the Obama-Biden ticket practically in major Democratic states. Lately, CNN says that the lead of McCain and Obama is tightening and we do not know for sure how many percentage vote is Obama leading McCain. For sure the two presidential hopefuls are campaigning vigorously in many Republican and Democratic strongholds. Two weeks, ago CNN released its survey that Obama was leading McCain by 5 percent. In another TV station, McCain is closely advancing with Obama. For sure, unlike other pollsters in other countries, except Japan, the U.S. predictions, television or radio, may be closely accurate due to the sophisticated opinion poll survey machines.
Come what may, and for sure, the next president of the U.S. will be an American, Obama or McCain. The big problem the next President of America will tackle, is the ailing economy and fight recession until recovery and eventually prosperity is restored to the most powerful nation of the globe, America. Year 2009 and onward is crucial to the American people and the world. Not only America is in serious economic crisis but all powerful nations of the world.
The Christians, especially the born-again believers who live Jesus Christ life here on earth, are not worried about the happenings in the world today. These Christians are not of this world but of God's kingdom in heaven. But Christians pray for Jesus Christ children here on earth to save and protect them from Satanic forces while awaiting for the coming of the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. For those who are not yet in Jesus Christ camp should act now for tomorrow may be too late.
McCain and Obama are both Christians but are they true children of God the Father, Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit? Let's pray for the successful presidential and vice presidential elections of American come November. God bless America and all the American people including Filipinos and other ethnic groups living in the land of plenty!
