3 suspects in TATC shooting rampage charged
ROXAS CITY – Three suspects who were involved in a bloody shooting rampage in Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center (TATC) recently were charged for murder and serious physical injuries before the city prosecutor's here last week.
Charged were Ricky Besana, Ariston Eudela, and Efren Diaz all casual employees of the city government assigned to TATC as watchmen.
The three suspects were involved in the killing of seven-year-old Jason Pelaez, who was declared 'Dead on Arrival' by the hospital's attending physicians and Nicole Soberano, a 10-year old boy who also later expired at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH)
Wounded was Editha Soberano, 45-year old, was also rushed to RMPH for immediate medical attention.
Pelaez was hit on his arm. The bullet went through the side of his body and hit his vital organs that caused his instantaneous death. The bullet is believed to have come from a 9 mm caliber pistol.
The older Soberano was scratched on the face by a bullet of unknown caliber, while her son Nicole was hit on his temple, the bullet struck his head and damaged the brain.
According to witnesses, the shootout stemmed from a heated argument among four TATC watchmen. They pulled out their guns and shot each other.
Meanwhile, Cerilo also one of the suspects and still confined at the St. Anthony College Hospital has no plan to sue his comrades.
Another 2 months pregnant woman surfaced to the police station that she was around during the shootout at TATC.
Jane Rubuso, 28, of Barangay Libas, this city claimed that she suffered bleeding which resulted to the abortion of the two-month old baby inside her womb.
Three days after the incident, another victim was gunned down at the TATC in the person of Ariel Diocariza, 34, of Phil. Railway Street, Punta Tabuc here.
Diana Deocariza, 61, told The News Today (TNT) that he asked her son to buy fish at TATC and when he came outside, he stopped when he received text message, then he was hit by a bullet on his head from unknown suspect.
He was rushed to the St. Anthony College Hospital but declared dead on arrival by attending physician.
