Monsters or ghosts?
I wanted to feel the spirit of Halloween in a foreign land but a country like China doesn't have any Halloween fever, I mean no Halloween parties, no flower and candle panic buying simply because they don't have All Souls' Day. I'm home alone this weekend but I'm not scared. I can't see monsters or ghosts here in my flat. I'm more scared of the monsters and ghosts that we have to deal with there in our country. They scattered everywhere, scaring us with unanswered controversies and unending corruption. The present administration is full of ghosts and monsters. Few weeks ago, retired PNP comptroller Eliseo dela Paz brought more than 100,000 euros in Moscow just for the contingency fund of several police officers who are having a conference in Europe. After he was caught, he tried to fool the people that the money will be used for official purposes. I hope he won't flee like other officials did after being investigated. I still remember some officials who disappeared like ghosts after they were linked with the scams in our country. We are still waiting for former Agriculture Undersecretary Joc joc Bolante to give us answers about the P728 million fertilizer fund scam. Who can also forget the famous Comelec Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano who was linked to the "Hello Garci" scandal.
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has to say "I am sorry" to the people when she was alleged to order the commissioner to specially monitor her votes during the national elections.
These people should stop acting like ghosts! Hiding after doing harm to the people! We have the right to know the truth behind all those piled up scandals after all, the money involved was the people's money. Stop acting like monsters scaring the people who wanted to provide evidence about the controversies. It's really ironic we have freedom of speech but we are deprived of the truth. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo said we should not waste our time with political intrigues, but what if those were true should we wait until we face a tragic end? We want real answers about Garci tapes, was the last national elections maneuvered? Was the P728 million fertilizer fund really used for the president's election campaign? Is it really true that the money worth more than 100,000 euros was intended for the police official's contingency fund in Europe and for the purchase of the PNP's intelligence equipment?
Ghost hunting, I mean culprit hunting is a tiring job so I hope people who can give us answers to these questions should stop haunting us and give us straight and honest answers before all the priests, nuns and people call for radical change!
