The Sagradistas come home
Dr. Ma. Helena Desiree Matulax-Terre &
Mr. Rafael 'Tibong' Jardeleza II.
The students of Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus celebrated its 91st year with a homecoming recently. Numerous alumni from abroad, different parts of the country and the city and province of Iloilo came to celebrate this momentous occasion. The celebration was marked with fellowships through food, conversations, recognition of achievements, music and dance.
The school was founded by St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac. During the early years, the Daughters of Charity Sisters, crossed the Iloilo River by banca to teach little boys and girls in the city proper. It was in 1917 that the school was recognized formally.
During their homecoming this year, they rekindled the Sagrado spirit as they showcased the timeless Sagrado tradition of excellence.
