No hurt feelings, says overthrown Ceneco prexy
BACOLOD CITY – Former Central Negros Electric Cooperative President (Ceneco) Roberto Montelibano assured his fellow board of directors that he has nothing personal and does not harbor hurt feelings after he was overthrown from his position.
Montelibano said it was the discretion of the board of directors and he respects it when they declared their loss of confidence to him.
Montelibano assumed the presidency of Ceneco few years ago and he went to the United States for medication but he was surprised with the decision of the board that his position was given to Atty. Vicente Sabornay.
However, Sabornay is Montelibano's ally that is why it is okay for him.
Montelibano said he will give his full cooperation to Sabornay and the rest of board as well as to the new Ceneco management.
Seated as Vice-President is Roberto Benedicto while Julius Tamayo sits as Board Secretary.
Meanwhile, the new board also terminated the incumbency of their General Manager Sulpicio Lagarde Jr. for loss of confidence.
Earlier, Ceneco employees complained against Lagarde before the board and National Electrification Administration (NEA) for not doing his responsibility and obligation as manager, and for not having concrete plan for the cooperative.
Lagarde has not yet answered the issues in the media.
The board has chosen as OIC-General Manager Engr. Erlo Sajo, the Ceneco operations and maintenance manager.
