Street Magic for Kids
The graduates of street magic.
The Street Magic Club-Iloilo Workshop for Young Magicians, supervised by the Philippine Brotherhood of Magicians (PBM), conducted its first graduation day recently at the SM City Event Centre.
Mark Vincent Java, president of PBM, spearheaded the four-Saturday workshop in the month of September, at the UPV Little Theater. There were 23 participants, ages seven to 15 years old coming from different Iloilo City schools like St. Joseph School, Assumption Iloilo, Paref Westbridge and Absorbent Mind Montessori.
At the workshop, the children were taught various tricks which included levitation, optical illusion, misdirection, mind reading, palming and psychohypnosis not only to develop their mental skills and discipline, but also their self-confidence and camaraderie.
