How do we get out of debt?
In this world global economic crisis today, the wise soothsayer says that spenders should tighten their belts as the poor should eat simple and cheap food. But in Africa, India and Bangladesh, hundreds of children and nourishing mothers die everyday due to lack or no food at all. A murder of pentecostal Christians in the Unites States are sending boatloads of food to stricken nations in Africa and thousands of children are availing of the benevolent mercy aid of the American Pentecostal Christians.
Debt is a destroyer of happiness. According to an evangelist over TBN, it is not a sin to borrow money and a good payer also increases his income. Be a lender instead of a borrower. A good lender is one who does not charge exhorbitant interest. He can even lend money without interest if he is truly a devoted Christian. God is angry with those lenders who charge interest more than 7 to 12 percent. If one is interested to help a friend or neighbor, a zero interest may be a blessing as God loves a cheerful giver.
Advised Dr. Charles Stanley, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. on how to get out of debt. 1) Cut out all unnecessary expenses; 2) If you don't need it, don't buy it; 3) live within your income and never exceed it; 4) Never eat or spend your seed that will destroy your future; 5) make your own future; 6) destroying debt by disciplining yourself and 7) store seed in the kingdom of God. Luke 11:4 "And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
Christians are also human, they could not avoid going into debt. Non-Christians are incurring debt left and right, but many of them pay on time. Many Christians through practice their true Christianity by condoning the debt of people who really cannot pay their debt. Their reward is in heaven once they help another fellow whether a Christian or not. The reason for the economic crisis in the U.S. Was the inability of homeowners to pay their loan with the bank. Thousands of homeowners who are heavily indebted to the banks failed to payback their huge loans and there are no takers for the foreclosed property. Filipinos in the U.S. who have plenty of U.S. Dollars have reportedly bought many foreclosed properties in many U.S. states are practically rich. The surest way to get rid of debt is not to go on debt. Christians help one another by helping church members who are financial burden. Jesus said, "If you have done this to least of my brethren, you have already done this to me."
